On a  research  amoung large grouyp of women it have been identified that when compared to a normal weight women an overweight woman’s chance of getting pregnant steadily falls as her weight increases. Among 3,000 women with fertility problems, there was a 4% drop in the chance of pregnancy for every body mass unit (BMI) rise above a certain point. Also some women weight should be barred from IVF  because of their weight.  Doctors  suggest that Over-weight not only affects a woman’s chances of getting pregnant naturally, but  also increases risks to her health and the health of her baby.

When a study  is conducted by researchers at the Academic Medical Center in Amsterdam  taking a large group of women , it found that women whose  (Body Mass Weight is above 30 lbs are obese)  are failure to conceive with no reason even though they were still ovulating normally.

The study also found that Women with severely obese women, with a BMI of over 35, were between 26% and 49% less likely to conceive compared with a BMI between 21 and 29.  The Doctors are so advised that the women who  have the low pregnancy chances is because of their over weight. Their losing weight will increase the chance to conceive without treatment.

Over the last few years there has been evidence that obesity can harm the fertility of women. It decreases the chances of getting pregnant, and increases the risks of pregnancy to both mother and child. So it is advised to the couples who are tying both (men and women) should reduce their over-weight as it helps them to get pregnant naturally.
