The gorgeous babe of Bollywood who was once considered as close to Ranbir Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor has refused to paired again with opposite him in a flick offered by the friend of Ranbir Kapoor, Vicky Singh. The innocent looking actress is said to be miffed with Ranbir Kapoor after he dumped her and started dating with sexy Deepika Padukone, who was his co-star in the just released Yash Raj Films “Bachna Ae Haseeno”. Sonam had come very close to Ranbir Kapoor during the making of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s “Saawariya” and was deeply hurt when dumped by the Ranbir Kapoor without any fault of her. According to sources, “Sonam Kapoor belongs to a cultured and disciplined family and would talk about such matters in the open. None the less, the lady has decided that she would not be acting with Ranbir Kapoor in any movie.

Even at the social functions, Sonam prefers to keep herself away from Ranbir and avoids even saying a formal hello. The buzz doing the rounds in the industry is that after the debacle of “Saawariya” at the box office, Sonam Kapoor does not want to rush into anything and wants to  select her roles carefully.
In fact in this case, after going through the scripts she felt that her role was not strong enough and the total focus would be on the hero and so she refused to do the project. Even, Vicky Singh wanted to cast Ranbir Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor together as they looked very impressive together in Bhansali’s movie. It is true that their debut movie did not work at the box office, but the chemistry between the lead actors and had been appreciated by one and all.

Vicky Singh, who had been assistant director with Farhan Akhtar, wanted to cash in on that terrific chemistry. Even, Ranbir Kapoor had given his consent to feature in the movie with Sonam Kapoor as he has already moved on in life with Deepika Padukone and did not hold any grudges against her.

Being a thorough professional, he never mixes personal and professional together but it was different with his leading lady and earlier good friend of Anil Kapoor’s daughter. Moumita, the manager of Sonam Kapoor, has even denied the singing of Shimit Amin’s forthcoming flick with Ranbir Kapoor as mere speculation and nothing else.

Sonam Kapoor is not involved in any project with “Chak De India” director at this stage, which stars Ranbir Kapoor in the main lead. For now, the Kapoor actress is waiting for Rakeysh Om Prakash Mehra’s ambitious project “Dilli 6?, where in she plays the lead opposite Abhishek Bachchan. The movie is said to be based on the early years of Rakesh Mehra in the Chandni chock locality of Dehli.
