Sreerama Navami Special - Vadapappu (In Telugu) Kosumbari (In Kannada)

Vadapappu:

Ingredients:

  • Green dal-200 gm (Moong daal)
  • Jaggery pieces - a few
  • Fresh grated Coconut -100 gms
  • Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Soak green dal for 1 hour.
  2. Remove water and add grated coconut, jagerry pieces and salt.
  3. Vadapappu is ready

Kosambari:

Ingredients:

  • Green dal-200 gm (Moong daal)
  • Green chillies - 2 pieces
  • Line juice - 1 tsp
  • Fresh grated Coconut -100 gms
  • Carrot - 1  peeled and grated( Optional)
  • Salt to taste

For seasoning:

  • Oil - 1 tsp
  • Mustard, urad dal - 1 tsp

Method:

  1. Soak green dal for 1 hour.
  2. Remove water and add grated coconut, grated coconut ,carrot (optional) .
  3. Put tadka with a little bit of oil, mustar and urad dal and prepared green dal and little bit lime juice and salt  and mix it well
  4. Kosambari is ready

(vadapapu, vaada pappu, vada pappu, poppu, koshambari, koosambari, kosambhari)
