Sreerama Navami Special - Vadapappu (In Telugu) Kosumbari (In Kannada)
Vadapappu:
Ingredients:
- Green dal-200 gm (Moong daal)
- Jaggery pieces - a few
- Fresh grated Coconut -100 gms
- Salt to taste
Method:
- Soak green dal for 1 hour.
- Remove water and add grated coconut, jagerry pieces and salt.
- Vadapappu is ready
Kosambari:
Ingredients:
- Green dal-200 gm (Moong daal)
- Green chillies - 2 pieces
- Line juice - 1 tsp
- Fresh grated Coconut -100 gms
- Carrot - 1 peeled and grated( Optional)
- Salt to taste
For seasoning:
- Oil - 1 tsp
- Mustard, urad dal - 1 tsp
Method:
- Soak green dal for 1 hour.
- Remove water and add grated coconut, grated coconut ,carrot (optional) .
- Put tadka with a little bit of oil, mustar and urad dal and prepared green dal and little bit lime juice and salt and mix it well
- Kosambari is ready
(vadapapu, vaada pappu, vada pappu, poppu, koshambari, koosambari, kosambhari)
